Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is set to open in a few weeks at EPCOT and we couldn’t be more excited. Fans who were lucky enough to ride it early said it was like a high-tech mix between Space Mountain and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster that sounded crazy.

Recently, however, some fans have had rather negative reactions to one aspect of the new car.

Reactions poured in after images of the queue for Disney’s new roller coaster were revealed, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic rewind. Die-hard EPCOT fans may have noticed that Star-Lord references several defunct attractions such as Horizons, Kitchen Cabaret, and the previously mentioned Energy Universe. Although funny and lighthearted, some fans saw these images and weren’t impressed, calling them goofy to cheesy. @QueendomOfBee commented:

Please don’t memorize your lines, Pratt. Please do not put his lines in front of the camera, studio.

It’s not going to age well. Feels very universal like.

@ExtinctDisney said that’s usually not the case:

Two actors who are normally good at tricking people into believing they are who they say they are and who believe what they say deep down…normally.

guardians straddle spoilers. . . . . . . God this man really phoned in this performance lol

@DJJarvicious commented:

I’m really looking forward to this attraction, but why is it so inconvenient? I’m starting to think they’re filming these pre-show videos with the intention of being uncomfortable. Like, “just a reminder this isn’t the movie”.

@cwhslims said:

Weirdest pre-show I’ve ever seen

@aWebbyy_ commented specifically on the acting:

This is a really cool reference but jesus the game is no good

And finally, @TheAlexMarco simply said it was very scary:

Levels of cringe

While it can be fun to “poke fun” online, of course the majority of visitors who visit this attraction in the future will surely love all the hints and references to the beloved rides that Disney closed decades ago. years. We always love to see Disney make an effort to make their sometimes extremely long queues entertaining.

This is a great teaser for the eventual Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 which hits theaters on May 23, 2023.

Now the MCU is just starting to add more superhero teams to the Marvel Universe because the Avengers need all the help they can get. It’s only a matter of time before we see the Young Avengers, Illuminati, Defenders, Midnight Sons, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Thunderbolts enter the MCU.
