New cabins in Kennebunk offer the complete Maine summer experience

Summer in Maine

When you picture a vacation in Maine, you often picture our rocky coastlines, sandy beaches, and quaint little beach towns. Although we only have a few summer months, Vacationland tourists and locals make the most of our time and fill the days with beach visits and lobster rolls.

There’s a reason Maine is “the way life should be”; Days in the sun should be spent near crashing waves and fried seafood and filled with nothing but positive vibes. Brand new cottages in the charming town of Kennebunk epitomize just that and will open next month.

Wanderer Cottages in Kennebunk, Maine

I am not a surfer myself but I have always dreamed of being one. Every summer, I tell myself it’s the year but I always fall short. I am optimistic for the summer of 2022!

Wanderer’s Cottages takes the vibe and lifestyle of surfers and brings it right into a home away from home. The all-new cottages will open in Kennebunk next June and are the epitome of Maine vacations by the sea.

The interior designer, Mark Cotto, shared with Travel and Leisure that his vision for the design of these new chalets was:

“Casual surf lodge meets nostalgic New England aesthetic.”

Sounds inviting, right?

With pristine white walls and ceilings, nautical and vintage furnishings and decor, these tiny homes are a favorable getaway during the summer months, encompassing all the positive feelings that proximity to the ocean is illicit.

There are two cottage layouts to choose from, studio and one bedroom options. All rooms have queen beds, private bathrooms, and a bar for your coffee and liquor needs. To make the cottage even cuter than it already is, bags of breakfast goodies are delivered to your door each morning. Is it precious or what?

Hop on one of their cruiser bikes and bask in the sun at a nearby Kennebunk beach, spend the afternoon dining on seafood at a waterfront restaurant, and ending the day with a relaxing swim in the heated pool.

This is how you will spend your vacation at Vacationland.
