Rewilding is basically taking an area of land and returning it to nature so that it becomes a better habitat for native insects, plants, flowers, and wildlife.
Sharnfold Farm is run by Donna Bull, who is from the Hastings area.
Donna said: “”We’ve taken a green field and created a Rewilded area where kids can get up close to plants and flowers while enjoying rustic play equipment.
“We also installed a giant teepee, an outdoor play kitchen, zigzag slalom poles and a small artists’ quarter. This will be an ongoing project that will change as the four seasons progress.
“We’ve been busy on the farm collecting things to reuse and recycle, giving discarded things a new home and creating what we hope will be a fun environment for the kids to learn and stop for a while. to play.
“The space has been specially designed to allow parents to take a moment over coffee and cake while the children play in a natural setting.
“We hope everyone finds the garden a wonderful addition to their existing playground. It’s also great for tackling climate change.
