BLAS is Pontio’s artistic participation project that offers children and young people various artistic experiences. BLAS has three components, on the one hand, weekly drama workshops for children and young people, from grades 3 to 13. Second, health and wellness art projects with children and youth. Third, artistic projects for young people in collaboration with professional companies that visit Pontio.

BLAS was launched in January 2013 following a successful funding offer from the Arts Council of Wales, and since then it has grown steadily by undertaking a number of projects with inspiring practitioners and from the enthusiastic children and communities of Bangor.

The project is led by Pontio’s Arts Development Coordinator Mared Elliw Huws and is funded by the Arts Council of Wales and Bangor University’s Widening Access Program.

Caffi babis

Caffi Babis is a new session that we offer to new parents and their babies. This past year has been difficult for everyone, but for the new parents it has been especially difficult without the support of family and friends. Bring a generation of confined babies.

It’s a creative hour with Siwan Llynor and Angharad Harrop that gives new parents the opportunity to meet other parents, as well as relax with your baby for a while. One hour to bring parents together, in a secure space. Each session will last around half an hour, with the possibility of having a panad and a discussion afterwards.

The session is most suitable for children up to 24 months, however, older children are welcome.

First Friday of the month at 10 a.m. – Book early, so please book in advance

Cost: £ 3, location varies
